Beachs Market in Downey

Beachs opened in the 1950s and was one of Downey's first supermarkets at the corner of Imperial Highway and Paramount Boulevard. Sadly in late 2010 the Beach Family decided to close the Downey store citing a downward economy and the placement of traffic islands on both Paramount and Imperial. The family continues to operate a store in Rosemead. The Downey location became famous after appearing in several movies, TV Shows, and commercials including an episode of the USA Network show Monk.
